Links from Email Campaigns can be highly effective if the right message is delivered to the right audience
We all know the pain of spam email. Everyone's inboxes get unsolicited messages delivered to them on a daily basis and sometimes it can be difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff.
So even if emails are solicited, promotional messages encouraging audiences to visit your site are likely candidates to be falsely identified by spam filters and never read by the intended recipient.
Fortunately, there are powerful tools to help deliver email campaigns to minimise the technical reasons of emails becoming marked as junk.
Our favourites are:
- MailerLite
Which is free for the first 1000 subscribers and up to 12,000 emails a month - MailChimp
Which is free for the first 500 subscribers and up to 2,500 emails a month
Both these starting tiers are great for businesses starting out with e-mail campaigns, and once you're working above those limits, the next tiers are not that expensive.
Be warned - you should avoid sending out email marketing using your standard business email tools such as Gmail or Outlook.

Most email providers will discourage you from sending mass emails using their systems in their terms and conditions. Sending out bulk emails incorrectly could blacklist your business's domain name which can affect all genuine emails sent out from your business!
Part of the strategy of an email campaign is to ensure it's done correctly and that you have a relevant list of addresses in your list that have agreed to receive your messages. Ensuring that's the recipient has explicitly agreed is something else that's highly important and needs to be built into other parts of your business's procedures to ensure you're collecting email addresses to email using legitimate methods.
Good mailing campaigns need interesting content and strong call to actions. Your audience have to have good reason to stop on your message and take the time to click on the link. So, be sure your message is well-suited and attractive.
Special offers are obviously strong candidates, but you may not want to slash your prices(!), so it's worth considering if you can offer something else of value - which might even be something as simple as some good information or advice.
