Paid Advertising & Pay Per Click (PPC)

Paid Advertising is the best way to get instant traffic for your site.

A good website plan includes a marketing budget to promote the site.  Building a site alone is not enough to suddenly create a successful online business.

In theory, you pay X and it generates Y amount of traffic for your money.  If you increase X then Y goes up too - well at least that's the theory!

There are lots of different options for paid advertising but it's important to pick the right ones to generate the right kind of traffic and to watch out for the unscrupulous paid traffic options that are out there.

If you're just starting out, it's probably best to stick to the bigger more common brands of paid advertising like Google and Facebook.

These are some of the more popular Paid Advertising methods:

  • Z Google Ads
  • Z Facebook Ads
  • Z LinkedIn Ads
  • Z Industry Magazines
  • Z Industry Directories
  • Z Yell

Google Ads offer Smart Campaigns (like a setup wizard) to get you started, but in order to get the very best results, you'll need to use their other campaign options to refine the details.

Similarly, Facebook offer a "boost" option for posts - don't confuse this with their business ads which are something very different.

Paid Advertising works best when done hand-in-hand with Search Engine Optimisation to deliver a comprehensive keyword strategy.  If you're already ranking highly for a certain keyword natural/organic search results because you've got good SEO, then your budget for paid ads will be better spent on other keywords and phrases that you want to rank for but don't yet appear!

Please keep in mind that with any kind of paid advertising, putting an effective advertising campaign together is never as simple as the theory!  You'll need to work hard to ensure you're getting the right kind of traffic and making the best use of your budget in order to get optimal results.

Working with you to improve sales, marketing and business management.
